About The Brand
INT.D was born from a simple belief:
Great design should be deeply human—and commercially smart.
We work at the intersection of strategy, experience, and design, helping visionary brands translate their values into physical space. Whether it’s a restaurant, retail concept, or hybrid cultural destination, we create places that connect with people—and perform for business.
We don’t start with trends.
We start with truth.
Through research, insight, and brand immersion, we uncover the essence of a place—its context, its people, and its potential. Then we build out from there, designing not just how it looks, but how it feels, functions, and flows.
For us, design is a tool.
A way to align vision and value.
To create with both soul and sense.
To give brands a body—one people want to return to, again and again.
Our process is collaborative.
Our approach is intentional.
And our work is grounded in the idea that space isn’t the final product—it’s the beginning of an experience.
You might be asking:
How do you know what to build?
Start with meaning.
We’ll help with the rest.

Hazel Bevins
Hazel Bevins is the founder and principal of INT.D.
Focusing on the needs of business, brand, and ultimately people, Hazel brings insight and instinct to her design approach. It means thinking about cause and effect, and understanding the bigger systems that underpin everything.

The Studio
INT.D is a Chicago-based, multidisciplinary design studio working across public and private life.
We’re a team of architects, designers, and creative thinkers united by a shared belief: that great design emerges from the tension between opposites, a complexity found within every day life. History and modernity. Imagination and discipline. Refinement and improv. These dichotomies shape our process and define our perspective.
Every project begins with a framework—our method for aligning purpose, people, and place. It’s how we design spaces that feel deeply human, highly intentional, and built for lasting impact.
